Organization Description

The California Health Collaborative (Collaborative) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization committed to enhancing the quality of life and health of the people of California, particularly the underserved and underrepresented. Founded in 1982 and headquartered in Fresno, California, the Collaborative has multiple offices throughout California serving residents throughout the state. Guided by its mission of “changing lives by improving health and wellness,” the Collaborative implements an array of health promotion and disease prevention programs, public health surveillance systems, and a variety of capacity-building and networking activities.

Program Information

Social Media Engagement Coordinator

Students will have the opportunity to develop our social media strategy for the year utilizing health promotion and public health messaging techniques.

By the end of this opportunity, students will have learned how this program fits in the public health system. Acquire an understanding of the helath problem addressed by the program. How to plan a social media timeline. When the best time/days are to post health promotion information for maximum engagement, What public health resources are available for social media post.

  • Assist a professional
  • Create or promote marketing content

Training:

Training will be personalized according to student's experience. Student will have access to Canva and Canva training videos as well as sample social media strategies from our other programs.

Check-ins via zoom twice per week, phone calls and emails as necessary.
