Organization Description

Addiction, mental illness and homelessness destroy lives and weaken families, therefore Community Human Services (CHS) provides people of all ages with the tools and support to overcome these challenges and create lasting change in their lives.

Program Information

Students will be trained to provide administrative support for the Parent Education Program including co-facilitating, assisting in translation for our clients who speak English, Spanish and Triqui, processing paperwork essential to the program, and assisting with providing direct support to parents as needed.

Administrative support, data entry, phone calls, facilitation preparation, translation to parents who speak Triqui, and general shadowing of the program.

Intern must Spanish and Triqui is highly desired, good organizational and time management skills, self motivated, compassionate, good communication and public speaking skills, friendly, engaging and dependable.

Possible opportunities to work in the outpatient mental health program for those who are pursuing a graduate degree in Psychology.

ADA requirements: CHS is able to provide ADA accommodations whenever possible.

On site training provided for any administrative work, direct client contact and group facilitation. Weekly supervision to be provided ongoing as well as immediate support from and onsite supervisor when needed.
