Organization Description

Project Optimism’s mission is to be the catalyst to equip community members with an optimistic mindset to be productive contributors to society. We seek to address community issues while creating a platform for community members to engage in the well being of the overall community.

Program Information

Project Optimism is a non profit that fosters optimism though mentorship, community engagement, and personal development trainings for youth and their families.

All students, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, and sexual orientation, are open and welcome to participate.

Health & Safety

Mentorship is provided to youth age 10-17

Our services include supporting those experiencing homelessness. In many cases, beneficiaries do have a physical or mental disability. We also provide educational services in the K-12 education system.Majority of the experience will be coordinated virtually or independently. Pending on the service identified by the professor, the supervision is subject to change.

Student will be able to check in with their supervisor at the beginning of each shift and prior to departing.
