Organization Description

Mission Statement: Guided by educational equity and through innovation, discovery, and support, the SUHSD will meet the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of each student to ensure achievement of their aspirations.

Program Information

School Mission:

EPS students will learn to be self-directed learners, effective communicators, organized learners, and socially responsible citizens. They will participate in a high-quality, rigorous independent studies curriculum that gives students the opportunity to learn on their own schedule. Students are expected to finish a course within 30 school days.

School Vision:

  • Here is a safe place academically, physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially where people are celebrated for their differences.
  • Students will be engaged in creativity through a variety of arts, music, electives, clubs, field trips and sports opportunities that are offered.
  • Students take ownership of their education and their contributions to their community.
  • All students and teachers are engaged in rigorous curriculum where students are given the opportunity to think critically and apply what they have learned to real world contexts.
  • All Staff and students exemplify moral and ethical behavior by respecting and supporting each other .
Health & Safety

All students will be required to have a TB test and Fingerprinting, and show COVID-19 vaccination card, prior to starting their service hours.
