Organization Description

Gravity Water is a US-registered non-profit organization that focuses on a brand-new solution to the Global Water Crisis, providing 100% energy-free safe drinking water to schools around the world. Our primary focus is underserved schools in Nepal and Vietnam.

Program Information

Opportunity Title: Youth Initiative Coordinator (YI) and Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC)

Tasks/activities students interns will be performing for this opportunity:

YI Coordinators will engaging local schools in the GWYI program, launching campaigns in elementary, middle and high schools. They will assist schools in planning and implementing educational fundraising campaigns focused on raising awareness about the Global Water Crisis and Gravity Water’s approach to building clean water
systems for schools in developing countries.

CEC coordinators will plan, coordinate, and host one public engagement event per month and one private/hosted Gravity Water event per quarter.

By the end of this opportunity, students will have learned:

The YI coordinators will gain experience in youth leadership & mentoring, strategic planning, project management & coordination, team management and professional communication. The CEC coordinators will gain experience in special events & campaign development, community engagement, strategic planning & partnerships, promotional marketing, program development, project coordination, and professional communication.
