Calibrate
Mission Statement ~ We calibrate: We transform the lives of young people from underserved communities, particularly the descendants of American slavery, by providing safe, equitable, humanitarian spaces where their whole selves are valued, where they can experience engagement, empowerment, and emotional thriving. Purpose ~ We provide a data-driven social-emotional learning program, Connections®, to kids and teens in underserved communities. These kids come to us through partnering nonprofits that focus on extracurriculars, extended education, or other forms of support, such as sports, college prep, or mentorship.
If you are not driving, we don't require proof of driver's license; if you are driving, we require proof of insurance. TB & vaccinations vary site to site; additionally, each site may have requirements that are not listed here. We comply with whatever protocols / HR procedures are required by the nonprofits we partner with. Our organization covers the cost of a background check; we perform a livescan, not fingerprinting. Since we work with minors, we have an HR handbook that reviews essentials, such as mandated reporting, which you will be required to read and sign.
