Program Information

Relaunched in April 2018, the Center for Successful Aging is connecting the resources of Long Beach State University on evidence-based practice, education, and program evaluation to develop creative solutions for diverse aging populations in collaboration with community partners. The Center for Successful Aging is facilitating applied interdisciplinary research and the development of the current and future workforce for the wellbeing of the older adult population in Long Beach and beyond. A primary focus of the Center is fostering social connectivity. We are committed to promoting aging well and with dignity for all by addressing social isolation, creating meaningful opportunities for social connectedness, and linking across generations for creating more positive experiences of aging.
