Psychiatric Research Clinical Trials CoordinatorAt — Viking Pharmaceutical Trials DBA Viking Clinical Research
This is an opportunity for students interested in interacting with patients who have psychological disorders. We help pharmaceutical companies test their medication on subjects (patients) who suffer from PTSD, Generalized-Anxiety, Alzheimer's Disease, Major Depression, Social Phobia, Fibromyalgia and other life-altering chronic disorders.
Students will learn how to professionally interact with patients with psychological disorders. Students will also gain an understanding of the drug-approval process. Patient's involved in clinical trials are viewed not only from a psychological health perspective, but also from a physical-wellness perspective. Therefore, students will also gain an understanding of how the body and mind are connected and will gain an understanding of how other, non-obvious, ailments can affect the mind (Hypothyroidism, hypertension, diabetes etc.) In short, psychiatric clinical research teaches us about the entire human organism as opposed to just the nervous system.
