Organization Description

A nonprofit organization that helps the San Francisco Chinatown community through hosting several different youth-led and youth-run programs, managing single-room-occupancy residencies, and aiding in community planning and development.

Program Information

The student intern will be tasked with the responsibility to host workshops regarding relevant social justice issues as well as community issues to both high school youth and local community members. The student will also be expected to aid in the planning and execution of community meetings with community members. The student is also expected to take part and help contribute in the youth programs' faculty meetings

The outcome of this opportunity expects the student to have learned how to work with their local community centers as well as the community leaders and members. The student will also gain experience in creating workshops as well as the skills to present it.
