Opportunity Summary 

1. Act as a resource liaison responsible for organizing health education materials, and responding to requests for health education & fitness information and local resources.

2. Assist with putting on community health education presentations throughout the service area.

3. Represent the Arthritis Foundation at selected worksites & community wellness expos.

4. Work with volunteer committee chair to identify and recruit volunteers to implement advocacy and health education activities for both Jingle Bell Run events in Orange County and San Diego.

5. Assist with cultivating relationships with targeted community healthcare providers to increase community resource referrals and to facilitate referral back to the Arthritis Foundation, through monthly communication (phone call, drop visit, email).

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Internship Goals:

1. To learn about the overall market growth plan: mission, fundraising and volunteer engagement/leadership.

2. To engage new and old participants, drive registration and raise awareness for the Arthritis Foundation Walk to Cure Arthritis and Jingle Bell Run.

3. To become an Insights Ambassador to help drive insights takers that will be measured at the end of the practicum.

4. To drive info seekers to the Arthritis Foundation programs and services, which will be measured by Power Bi.

5. To understand the strategy behind fundraising which results in providing mission.
