Organization Description

Forest Hill Retirement Community opened in 1954 as a not-for-profit, non-denominational Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Pacific Grove, CA. The community is owned and operated by California-Nevada Methodist Homes and welcomes seniors of all faiths and beliefs.

 

We are a member of LeadingAge (formerly AAHSA, American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging) and Aging Services of California (ASC). These national and state associations are comprised of nonprofit providers of senior housing, healthcare, and related services.

Program Information

General Description of what students will be doing at this Site: Students will assist with mood assessment cognitive assessment's, assist with activities, be part of the interdisciplinary team, students will also gather background information on residents.

Key Responsibilities: be responsible, willing to learn, be open minded.

Desired Intern Characteristics: Be open, willing to speak with resident's about difficult situations on occasion.

Special Considerations: be willing to complete background/live scan
