Organization Description

The Equity and Engagement Division oversees programs that promote some of the key values of De Anza College – including equity, civic engagement, social justice and inclusion. These programs are focused on - Addressing inequities in higher education -Providing resources to help students overcome social barriers -Preparing students to become active participants and leaders in a democratic society

Program Information

Counseling Intern will have opportunities to shadow faculty member teaching counseling courses (Orientation to College, Career Life Planning) to first generation Latinx students enrolled in the Puente and/or LEAD (Latinx Empowerment at De Anza) programs. In addition, intern will be assisting counselor with transfer information and application in small groups and/or workshops.
