OUR MISSION

Preventing alcohol and drug addiction by offering education, prevention, treatment and recovery to individuals and families regardless of income level.

OUR VISION

We will inspire our participants and our community to value an alcohol-free and drug-free life.

Program Information

Sun Street Centers is a non-profit public service organization dedicated to the treatment of substance use disorders. Started over 50 years ago, primarily as a residential treatment facility for men suffering from alcoholism, we have grown to treat all substance use disorders for both men and women with residential treatment, outpatient treatment, sober living environments, DUI classes, a sobering center as well as robust early intervention and prevention programs for youth. We have many sites throughout Monterey County and one in Hollister in San Benito County.

Bachelors level students have an option to observe and then participate in case management for residential clients. We also have outpatient groups for which they can observe and help co-facilitate. We also have prevention programs in schools for which they might find a volunteer posiiton to assist with prevention efforts.
