Service Learning OpportunitiesAt — Art Through Action

Opportunity Summary 

1) We would like individuals to help with marketing strategies, and to assist with coordinating fund raising events. Students will be asked to help develop active social networking to help bring awareness to our organization Art Through Action.

2) We are also continuing our efforts to receive our next grant. Our nonprofit is committed to teaching individuals on the Spectrum, with Downs Syndrome, and/or other special needs various art forms including painting, and ceramics.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

1) We're hoping that working together with the students, they will develop learning skills that will help their individual futures. By the end of this opportunity students will have learned how to help a new nonprofit organization effectively grow.

2) We are hoping they will have learned how to write, and submit a grant. We’re also hoping they can then witness the need, and importance of how the funding is used in a positive, and impactful way.

Opportunity Training 

We have a website, and will explain to the students how we'd like to use our website to help our organization. We'd like to work with them to discover underserved individuals on the spectrum in our community who can have the opportunity to take classes with us.
