Opportunity Summary 

Early Childhood Volunteer participates in a variety of childcare situations. Early Childhood Volunteer is involved in our Tuesday evening program, where we use age appropriate Christian curriculum to provide activities, worship, and a Bible story. Our curriculum comes from Think Orange. Early Childhood Volunteer participates in our Thursday morning program, where we provide a safe and fun environment for children 0-5 yrs. We have age appropriate toys, activities, snacks, and a secure check in and check out procedure for parents. Lastly, the Early Childhood Volunteer participates in our Sunday morning program where we provide a fun, safe environment for parents to leave their children while they attend church service. We divide the children by age and we utilize up to 6 rooms on a Sunday morning. We provide unstructured play time with age appropriate toys, worship, a Bible story, prayer, snack time, and offer a secure check in/check out procedure.   

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

To provide a safe and engaging environment for various groups of children ages 0-5 yrs.

Students will learn to facilitate age appropriate faith based curriculum and activities for children in our ministry.

Opportunity Training 

Students will complete an application and back ground check. In addition, they will be instructed on our policies and procedures. Students will be supervised on check in/check out procedures, safety information, curriculum implementation, and communication with parents.
