CSULB Research Foundation - Upward Bound

Organization Description

The CSULB Research Foundation (Research Foundation) was established as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization to enhance and advance the educational mission of CSULB.  The Research Foundation supports a number of programs including Upward Bound, Cal Soap, American Institute for Philanthropic Studies, KKJZ 88.1 FM Radio, and others. 

The Research Foundation provides accounting and administrative services for programs sponsored by federal, state, local, and private funding used for faculty research projects and training programs. This externally-sponsored research allows faculty and students to engage in nationally-recognized scholarly endeavors, and is the cornerstone of CSULB’s academic excellence.

Students may have an opportunity to work with high schools students for tutoring, presenting workshops, and chaperoning during sponsored program events

Student(s) will work with Upward Bound representatives on various projects that will be determined by site supervisor, student, and director regarding student's learning outcomes or field work goals.
