Opportunity Summary 

Our MSW Intern Investigator will conduct visits with our clients (minors) who are in out of home care or who have been reunified with their parents to assess safety and needs of each client. They will be responsible for advocating for their client and working closely with the client's attorney to ensure that their voice is heard in the legal process. Our MSW Interns will participate in CFT meetings with various collaterals. Our MSW Interns will attend Court to observe the Juvenile Dependency process. They will be trained in completing an assessment and biopsychosocial.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

The basics of the child welfare system, how to conduct a home visit safely, how to conduct a thorough assessment of each of our client's needs and how to write an assessment.

Opportunity Training 

There are a number of trainings provided to include child welfare law updates, RFA process, assessment and biopsychosocial, home visit safety, child welfare laws and local practice, and many others.
