Program Information WAVES is the emerging tide in youth culture???a space that chronicles, preserves, and celebrates the multifaceted stories and everyday lives of young people of color living in America. WAVES functions as a minority-owned, culture magazine rooted in underlining the stories, voices, and lives of young visible minorities who too often find themselves unseen inside the homogeneous outlook of American youth culture and media. Interns at WAVES will receive on-hand experience in video production, photography, editing content, research, collaboration, and storytelling. Interns will work closely with our remote team and are encouraged to surround themselves with a broad visual knowledge and influences, generate ideas, and to approach problems with critical and creative initiative.
