2nd year master student in child/family teamAt — Kaiser - South Sacramento

Opportunity Summary

We have an opportunity for a 2nd year master student to provide group and individual outpatient therapy for Kaiser Permanente members. You will have weekly training both my staff members, and monthly from regional training program plus child/family team. This will be a great opportunity to learn and prepare you to become a mental health therapist in a medical setting.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes

Our goal is that by the end of your training year you will be more confident in your ability to conduct mental health assessment, comprehensive risk assessment, feel more comfortable with diagnosing and development of treatment plans, as well as have started to develop confidence in a therapeutic approach. We also help you gain experience in leading and teaching psycho education groups.

Opportunity Training

We take a development approach to supervising. During your first weeks and months with Kaiser, you supervisor will be doing a thorough job in assessment of your current strengths and weaknesses, essentially establishing a baseline. From there we will work towards strengthening your areas of growth with appropriate additional training. We personalize our approach to supervision rather then taking the same approach to everyone. We also have you shadow groups and individual sessions to help gain knowledge and experience in our system

Additional risk specific to this opportunity

We have PPE always for our students.
