Learn Your Craft With Sacramento City USD Student Support & Health Services Dept.At — SCUSD - Student Support and Health Services Department

Opportunity Summary

In order for our students to be successful academically, they must come to school healthy and ready to learn. When students are in need of support — whether academically, behaviorally, emotionally or socially — our quick, careful response is critical. The SCUSD Student Support & Health Services Department (SSHS) operates the Connect Center and 34 Student Support Centers throughout the district to provide support to struggling students and their families. At each center, a coordinator works closely with school staff to identify students in need of assistance. Once identified, school social workers, interns and community partners work directly with students and their families to address issues that are of concern to them, using a strengths-based model and drawing on other resources for additional support.
