Founded in 1989, the Institute for Social Research is an interdisciplinary center, which works to improve programs and policies within the Sacramento region and throughout the state.

Located at Sacramento State Downtown, the Institute offers a broad range of expertise conducting survey research, performing program/policy evaluations, and conducting applied social science research.
