Opportunity Summary 

School Social Work provides a myriad of opportunities to explore, learn, and develop skills in the micro, macro, and mezzo levels of social work. From grades Kindergarten through 12th grade, we have a multi-ethnic population of families that are supported through academic, attendance, behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health challenges.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

How to navigate the public school systems, identify gaps in learning and service delivery, and know how to mitigate these challenges to keep students and families empowered and able to access resources.

Opportunity Training 

Suicide Intervention, Motivational Interviewing, SMART goal setting, Mandated Reporting
