The Social Work Student Intern provides services in the Pathways to Permanency Program by assisting team members with required case management activities and supporting Resource Families and youth in care. The Social Worker Student Intern provides services in accordance with Community Care Licensing regulations and standards. Supports the Mission, Vision, and Values of the agency.
Create and maintain accurate documentation of youth records in compliance with Community Care Licensing (CCL) and all other relevant regulatory agencies; Co-facilitate support groups as needed; Support placements of youth with Resource Families; Evaluate and assess youth for placement and continued placement with an approved Resource Family; Conduct home visits and assure all needed paperwork is completed within timeline expectations; Facilitate reunification plans/efforts whenever possible; Conduct Workshops and Training; Develop informational material for educational purposes, conduct workshops and educational training sessions; Support Delivery of Orientation to potential families
Roles and expectations of internship placement. Mandatory workplace trainings include: HIPAA/Confidentiality, Employee/Intern Handbook & Workplace Norms, Workplace Safety, Mental Health Compliance, Mandated Reporter, Family Centered Practices, Cultural Competency, etc. Field Safety, Working with Community Partners, Safety Plans, Mental Health Documentation, etc. Trauma Informed Care, Cultural Competency, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), etc.
