Organization Description

The Santa Barbara County Department of Social Services (DSS) offers programs and services to help people maintain their health, improve their economic security, and protect their safety. We also administer several community networks to coordinate, improve upon, and report on services for children, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.

This site is available to social work students who have an approved employment-based internship proposal that has been reviewed by the Director of Field Education as well as Santa Barbara County DSS supervisor.
