Lakewood Regional Medical Center AuxiliaryAt — Lakewood Regional Medical Hospital
Our staff has been very accommodating with our interns for the past 5 years. Interns were able to observe and ask questions in the administration office, medical staff, medical records, and social work office. During their orientation, interns learned where every department is in the hospital, and how things work, in general. They were very much appreciated by volunteers, staff, and patients.
The interns will have general knowledge of the everyday workings of our hospital. Hopefully, they will see the value of everyone working together in a friendly, helpful, positive atmosphere.
After 3 or 4 four-hour shifts, the interns should complete their initial training, know the hospital's layout, and be ready to respond to calls for assistance from the nursing stations.
We still require masking, and social distancing when possible. We sanitize our hands, wheelchairs, and work areas regularly.
