Opportunity Summary 

Students will engage with students in an Early Childhood classroom under the supervision and guidance of the Head Start or State Preschool Teacher. They will observe, interact, and implement strategies to support student learning and foster academic as well as social and emotional growth.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Students will confidently be able to engage in high quality interactions with early childhood students. They will become familiar California Preschool Foundations, how to incorporate taking student data for the Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) into the school day, and how to work as an effective member in an early childhood classroom.

Opportunity Training 

Students will learn hands on in an early childhood classroom from a Head Start or State Preschool teacher.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

Students must follow any COVID-19 protocols set in place by the school district. Students are not to be left alone with any early childhood students.

Students will need to bring a valid california issued ID or student ID in order to sign in daily.
