Organization Description

Our vision is to provide a venue and resource for promoting applied ethics and values in emerging technological ecosystems in ways that shape a healthier democracy, cultivate social and economic opportunities for equality and equity, and foster a more just and viable future.

Program Information

The Center for Applied Ethics and Values in Emerging Technologies collaborates with students and teachers at the University of California, Santa Cruz, to create a space where participants can do research and learn about themes related to the program's goals. The center aspires to provide the community with information on a variety of topics, including, but not limited to, ethics and technology, allowing students to develop as individuals and professionals while also learning skills that will benefit them in the future, and keeping the community informed. The center has a number of objectives and projects in the works to help it grow and prosper in the future.
