Organization Description

California State University, Stanislaus serves a diverse student body of more than 9,000 at two locations in the Central Valley — a beautiful 228-acre campus in Turlock and the Stockton Center, located in the city’s historic Magnolia District. Widely recognized for its dedicated faculty and high-quality academic programs, the University offers 43 majors, 41 minors and more than 100 areas of concentration, along with 15 master's degree programs, seven credential programs and a doctorate in educational leadership.

Program Information

"The Sustainable garden was established as a learning and applied research laboratory in the field of Sustainable Agriculture, and to demonstrate best practices in Elementary School garden development and use. Over the years, its use and focus have expanded. Its use now includes providing critical curriculum based experiential learning platform for students through several out-of-the classroom and field activities, internships, demonstration of crop production and best management practices."
