Stay and Play Program- Seaside Branch

Organization Description

The Mission of Monterey County Free Libraries is to bring ideas, inspiration, information and enjoyment to our community.

Program Information

CHHS Intern for the Stay & Play program for both the Seaside and the Marina Branch Libraries. The purpose of the program is to reach out to and engage caregivers, especially families, friends and neighbors who are caretaking children, and invite them to participate in developmentally appropriate programs for preschool aged children at the library. The programs are designed to boost the confidence of caregivers and give them information about resources available to them. The responsibility of the interns will be to plan and set up a 6 week series of programs for caregivers and also to contact and collaborate with local agencies that serve children and invite them to present at the programs to make caregivers aware of community services.
