Opportunity Summary 

J. Walcher Communications interns will be involved in all aspects of the agency including media relations and research, writing, social media, (virtual) event coordination, and client and product research. Interns will gain a practical understanding of the public relations industry as well as how to develop the tools necessary to compete and excel in this exciting and growing field. Specific responsibilities include research, writing press materials, developing social media content and graphics, gathering and analyzing social media analytics, drafting and creating blog posts and e-communications, maintaining media lists and client clip files, proofreading, preparing presentation materials and administrative support.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

How to properly conduct research, write press materials, develop social media content and graphics, gather and analyze social media analytics, draft and create blog posts and e-communications, maintain media lists and client clip files, proofread, prepare presentation materials, and administrative support.

Opportunity Training 

The student's first week of the internship will be focused on becoming acclimated with our clients. Any new task that is assigned will have a thorough, in-person and hands on direction.
