At Petsadena Animal Hospital, we offer personal service for each of our valued patients, because we know the joy they bring to your life! Our experienced veterinary team provides the highest quality preventative and medical care for your feline and canine friends. We support you and your pet with compassion, efficiency, clear communication, and education.

Our Pasadena veterinary clinic is independently owned and operated, and seeks to fill a need within our community for highly personalized animal care. The field of veterinary medicine has become inundated with corporate facilities where quantity overshadows quality. Our veterinary team is extensively educated and trained, and each member of our staff is focused on the same priority: your pet!

Program Information

Opportunity Title:  Veterinary Technician Intern

Where will this opportunity take place? On-site

Are students receiving any form of compensation for this opportunity? No, unpaid internship.

Summary: Activities will be accomplished in accordance with a learning plan, reviewed, and agreed upon by the student, university, and business/organization prior to the start of the experience. 

  • The student will participate in all relevant training required by the business or agency.
  • Model professional and appropriate behavioral when working with clients and when on site.
  • Support organization events that are part of the internship experience as required by faculty member.
  • Met the goals of the organization and the internshp course in which the student is enrolled in.

The organization will provide student a complete tour of the site, and ensure student is aware of all emergecny procedures and is able to act responsbily in the case of emergency.

The organzation will ensure that the student is aware of the unique nature of the population of the organizagtion, and is prepared to work with this population.

Site supervisor and all program staff will support the student as they interact and provide guidance and advise as necessary and appropriate.

The site will provide training and orientation prior to working with clients and/or providing a service.
