Organization Description

Purpose of organization is to assist and support adults with psychiatric disabilities and their families in achieving greater independence and competence as members of the community. Services provided include wellness support groups, employment preparation groups, counseling, job training, etc.

Program Information

We provide interns the opportunity to working directly with individuals who are part of Santa Cruz Behavioral Health and who have been diagnosed with a severe mental illness. We offer placements which provide the opportunity to work with participants individually, as well as facilitate mental health rehab groups. Students will learn how to write progress notes and treatment plans for MediCal billing using the Avatar system. We have opportunities in Santa Cruz and Watsonville.
