Program Information

Gavilan College offers short-term therapy in-person in Gilroy and Hollister, as well as virtually. We provide intervention and prevention trainings, workshops, and events to all student and employees. The ideal intern is someone that wants to explore mezzo and macro social work, while also providing 1-1 services to community college students. This individual will have an opportunity for paid trainings, professional development, and paid a stipend for the internship. The intern will have an opportunity to develop workshops and trainings that meet state and federal requirements, especially around Title IX, sexual assault, harassment, and discrimination. The intern may assist and carry a caseload with our Behavioral Intervention Team. The intern may serve on number of on campus committees and mental health club, as well as participate in various county workgroups.
