Organization Description

Janus of Santa Cruz mission is to provide supportive, hope-inspiring, and successful substance abuse services in a professional and compassionate environment and to assist individuals and their families on their journey toward wellness and recovery.

Janus of Santa Cruz provides drug and alcohol treatment to individuals across multiple levels of care.

Janus provides treatment across the following modalities: residential treatment, perinatal residential treatment, day treatment, perinatal day treatment, Intensive Outpatient, DUI, Medicated Assisted Treatment and child & family programs.

Program Information

Janus provides drug treatment and mental health services on a continuum of care. We provide detox, residential treatment, Perinatal drug treatment, intensive outpatient, medically assisted treatment, and aftercare to adults. We also have an outpatient mental health therapy program. Interns can be placed in any program and can cross train to gain an understanding of all aspects of the agency. We also have internships that can participate with our outcomes and evaluation department.

Health & Safety

Risk of exposure to infectious diseases due to one-to-one contact with individuals and their children.  The facility has stairs.  There is a very slight risk of violent clients.

Several falls down the stairs, limited violence yet verbal abuse is common, we test all clients and staff for tuberculosis upon admission/hiring so this is not a major risk, we treat clients with infectious diseases, some duties require lifting objects around 20 lbs.

We provide all the necessary supplies to remain safe around clients and their families. Be careful when using stairs and lifting objects. Don't do anything you're not 100% comfortable doing.
