This integrated approach to mental healthcare delivery not only provides social work interns with exposure to diverse therapeutic modalities and treatment perspectives but also fosters a comprehensive understanding of interdisciplinary collaboration in mental health environment. The program's structure enables interns to develop expertise in various therapeutic approaches while learning from practitioners who bring distinct yet complementary professional paradigms to patient care.
At Ohana, our Master of Social Work internship program offers an exceptional, multifaceted learning environment where interns develop sophisticated case management competencies under the mentorship of our distinguished Family Care Management team and Therapy Team. Our commitment to accessibility drives our mission to reduce barriers to care for underserved populations. Interns gain invaluable clinical experience by co-facilitating therapeutic groups and engaging in services across our continuum of care, including outpatient services, our partial hospitalization program, and residential treatment program.
For aspiring mental health clinicians, we provide immersive learning experiences that bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application. Our collaborative relationship with other departments throughout Montage Health enables observational rotations across various specialized departments, enriching interns' understanding of interdisciplinary healthcare delivery. Additionally, interns develop essential professional competencies through hands-on training in clinical documentation utilizing EPIC, an industry-standard electronic health record system.
