Santa Cruz Community Health Center

Organization Description

Santa Cruz Community Health Center's mission is to improve the health of our patients and the community and advocate the feminist goals of social, political, and economic equality.

Program Information

Santa Cruz Community Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center that provides Primary Care and Integrated Behavioral Health to a wide range of patients at our three clinic sites. As stated in our mission, we provide high quality healthcare in a patient-centered medical home model, to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay, immigration status, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity or primary language. Our MSW internship is rich with opportunities, and includes individual therapy with all ages and a small caseload of case management patients. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary Care Team with medical providers, nurses, medical assistants and health educators, to name a few. There is special project and programmatic work available in pediatrics, pre-natal, office-based addiction treatment and more. There are regular departmental meetings and case consult opportunities with a team of LCSWs, MSWs and coordinators in the Behavioral Health Department.
