SMCJUHSD is looking for compassionate and caring MSW interns who desire to work with students who are struggling in school for various reasons.
The expectations are to:
* work with students who are experiencing homelessness, foster care, trauma or are a ward of the court.
* provide support plans for students and caregivers to enhance students' lives
* collaborate with outside agencies to meet the student's needs
* collaborate with MTSS (Multi-Tier System of Support) team
* be flexible and innovative
* take initiative

Duties and Responsibilities:
Clinician intern will provide in office individual, and/or family therapy.
Maintain positive, open communication with colleagues, clients, and
community agencies.
Adhere to and enforce Agency policies and State regulations with staff and
clients.
Participate in team meetings as needed for clients and connect them to
additional services as need it.
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with staff, children,
clients, and community.
Maintain client and case confidentiality per state, federal and Agency
standards.
Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences.
represent the agency in a professional manner, and abide by the agency's
Professional Code of Ethics.
Assist in performing additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.
