Organization Description

Habitat for Humanity of Orange County is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes, by advocating for fair and just housing policies, and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman, and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all.

Program Information

Habitat for Humanity of Orange County is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to creating a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat OC seeks innovative solutions to providing affordable home ownership. The need for affordable, workforce and entry-level ownership is the final step needed to lift people of our cyclical poverty. We know home isn't just a building, it includes the community and resources in which you live, work and grow. Stable and high quality housing provides safety, mental and physical well-being, and educational opportunities for families. Habitat OC builds simple, decent homes and sells them to qualified low-income families at a price they can afford.
