Opportunity Summary
Students can learn about civic engagement and local policy, participatory budgeting with families and children, and communications.
Opportunity Learning Outcomes
Students will have learned the history of Long Beach as it pertains to race, policy, development, and movements for justice. They will have learned how to organize along side community members.
Opportunity Training
Hands on training will be provided by supervisors who are very experienced, and well respected and connected in Long Beach. They will be provided with educational material to get them up to speed on Long Beach history as it relates to their area of focus.
