Program Information

General Description of what students will be doing at this Site: Students will work with staff and guests in a supportive role in our Next Step Program. Next Step is the Case Management Program at Gathering for Women. Next Step is designed to be a path to out of homelessness and housing insecurity. 

Key Responsibilities: Intake and preliminary case management with guests of GFW. We are looking for students who would be comfortable greeting guests of Gathering for Women in the waiting room and engaging with them while they wait to see their Case Manager. Interns will help with intakes, front desk coverage signing guest up for services, assist guests in clothes closet and with different daily activities/workshops.

All on-site activities include assisting at the front desk, taking temperatures, greeting guests, signing up guests for services at the center, data entry, serving meals, assisting with activities/services and assisting with Next Step: intakes and case management.

Health & Safety

COVID vaccinations are required. The Center is cleaned regularly, especially in high traffic areas. Currently we are following California Health Department regulations - all onsite must wear masks in congregate areas.
