New Growth, Inc. is a safe place for all humans. In the summer, we run an inclusion summer camp program called Camp Kelly for children with varying ability levels.

Program Information

COME AS YOU ARE is our mantra for Camp Kelly. Camp Kelly will be an inclusive summer day camp for children between the ages of 5 through 18 that creates a safe environment free of judgments, stereotypes, and bullying for all involved. Camp Kelly is open to ALL abilities, some common diagnoses you may see: autism spectrum disorder (ASD) attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) emotional or behavioral challenges down syndrome or other genetic disorders and anywhere in between Our initial 4-week camp program will launch in July 2022. Action-packed schedules provide a memorable camp experience for all. Camp Kelly will be operational Monday - Friday 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. The week of 4th of July will be a 4 day week. Camp sessions take place the following dates: July 5th - 8th (Tuesday - Friday) July 11th - 15th July 18th - 22nd July 25th - 29th Activities Include: theme-based weeks talent show days music and camp songs local field trips arts and crafts swimming and water play cooking sports (with a concentration on team and relationship building skills) science experiments social skills training sensory breaks and activities Historically, families who have a child with special needs struggle to find appropriate placements during the unstructured time of the summer. Camp Kelly aims to break down these barriers. At Camp Kelly, we firmly believe in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Inclusion for all children can create an environment that encourages everyone to concentrate on their strengths and celebrates diversity. The camp curriculum will provide unique opportunities and make a positive change that embodies DEI. Groups are staffed with trained behavioral professionals and there will be a 4:1 in general, although families will have the option to choose to have 1:1 support depending on their child’s need. Scholarships and sibling discounts may be available on an as-needed basis. Please inquire early about scholarship opportunities.

Health & Safety

The behavior challenges that some of our campers my exhibit while at camp. They will be supervised and supported by trained paid staff members.
