Opportunity Summary 

Be ready to laugh, have fun, and make a difference in the life of a child. Our Afterschool Program focuses on achieving grade-level reading for K-8th grade students. Study Stars incorporates interactive e-learning technology with positive community building. Volunteers will work each week with the same student(s) on homework and enrichment activities. Tutors are needed between 3:00 pm and 5:30 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and/or Friday. Ideally, we are looking for individuals that can commit to at least 3 months of volunteer tutoring. Weekly schedule is flexible. We will work around your lifestyle and needs, of course! Community service letters and references are provided upon successful completion of service. We require a background check, volunteer application, and volunteer orientation. Opportunity Training 

Below is a brief training checklist that all applicants must complete in order to become a volunteer. All volunteers will be required to attend a volunteer orientation. During this time we will review our policies and procedures, best practices, Covid-19 guidelines . Volunteers will receive more information about their particular role on their first shift during orientation. Volunteer Handbook-The handbook is intended to provide general information.
