Opportunity Summary 

Glean Team Leaders (GTLs) are trained volunteers who collect fresh, surplus produce at farmers market “gleaning” events across Los Angeles and/or Ventura County. You will join us at the Torrance Saturday Farmers Market to collect produce that will then be donated to a local hunger relief organization.

The opportunity is onsite, with a remote Event Report completion after the event.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Working with Food Forward allows first-hand experience in the sustainable food movement - you will learn more about food recovery and food accesss.

Opportunity Training 

 You will go through a 1.5 hours virtual training, along with 2 shadow trainings.
