Farm & Garden Service Learner At — MEarth

Opportunity Summary 

In MEarth's property management department, service learners will have the opportunity to be involved in working with native plants, food system management, and habitat maintenance.

Farm & Garden Opportunities:

We are thrilled to be partnering with local food relief organizations to donate fresh produce from our garden to community members in need! We’re looking for volunteer support with harvesting, planting, seed starts, weeding, mulching, and other farm and garden maintenance work.

  • Wednesdays/Thursday: 9:00am - 12:00pm and/or 1:00-4:00pm
  • First Saturday of every month:  8am-12pm and/or 1:00-4:00pm
     

Native Plant Nursery Workdays:

We’re looking for volunteer help in our native plant nursery, which collaborates with the California Native Plant Society. By volunteering in our native plant nursery, you will help us supply our community with native plant species vital for our local ecosystems. Tasks include watering, pruning, weeding, propagating, and more!

  • Fridays | 2:00 – 4:30 pm

Requirements:

  • Driver's License
  • Must be 18 or older
  • TB Risk Assessment
  • Must have reliable transportation
Opportunity Training 

Service Learners will be given a detailed overview of their jobs and responsibilities by MEarth Staff members and will work alongside staff and other volunteers.
