Opportunity Summary 

Looking for students interested in completing their hours in our Afterschool Program.

Service Learners will be helping kids complete their homework, provide additional educational help with worksheets, support staff overseeing activities, and build trust with children to identify areas of growth in children.

3 Service Learner spots

Requirements:

  • Background Check (e.g. fingerprinting/livescan, driving record)
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Vaccinations
Opportunity Training 

All interested individuals need to pass a background check, national registry, and must complete required Salvation Army trainings before they are able to volunteer.

Students will be trained on what the policies are, and who to report to on their first day.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

SUPERVISION: Students may be supervised less than 50% of the time or the supervisor will be overseeing more than 8 people.

Supervisor will be overseeing more than 8 people. Other staff members will be present during the program and supervisors can be called if there are any issues that need their attention.
