Research and Social Media Volunteer At — Regeneración Pajaro Valley Climate Action
Are you interested in creating flyers/infographics for our social media and posts related to climate change and climate justice?
We are seeking a creative and experienced student with a background in social media platforms and Canva. The student will research, design, and create engaging social media posts and captions to share across our platforms and website.
Topics for content may include:
- Promoting events
- Volunteer spotlights
- Food waste
- Plastic pollution
- Fast fashion
- Workers' rights
- Electrification of buildings and transportation
- Food security and other environmental justice issues
This is a remote service learning opportunity, offering the chance to develop design, communication, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.

Requirements:
- Candidates should have great writing and analytical skills.
- Computer literacy required.
- Bilingual Spanish-English desired.
Training will include meetings with the Community Organizer to familiarize you with our organization's previous work and current projects. We will provide some initial background readings and basic training for working with Canva. We will be available and open for questions.
Student will have to work independently for research and content creation, but we will be available to answer questions or work together if extra support is needed. Regular 1-on-1 check-ins will be held to assess progress and set goals.
