Opportunity Summary 

Students will have the opportunity to learn about renters rights in Long Beach. Additionally, they will be able to educate community members about it and advocate for those facing evictions by connecting them to legal aid.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Besides learning about renters' rights in Long Beach, students will have a deeper understanding of community needs and the situation many renters face when not having enough protection.

Opportunity Training 

Students will be trained on renters rights, public speaking and outreach coordination.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

LiBRE uses CODIV-19 safety protocols such as requiring vaccination and providing face masks and hand sanitizers. Additionally, safety training will be provided when in-person canvassing.
