New Hope Crisis Counseling Hotline (Part of Catholic Charities/OC)

Program Information

The New Hope Crisis Counseling Hotline provides, free of charge, a suicide prevention and crisis intervention telephone hotline which offers nonjudgmental peer counseling and care to anyone seeking help, 365 days a year, around the clock. No call is turned away and no issue is too small to be heard. Each volunteer or intern is committed to provide active listening, empathy, compassion, grief counseling, crisis intervention, suicide assessment, goal-setting, prayer, and community referrals to hurting people. We serve all people no matter what their gender, color, ethnicity, religion, socioeconomic status, lifestyle, or geographic location.\r\nOur volunteers and interns are all friendly and caring people who will be glad to assist anyone who needs to talk about any issue they are having. We provide free, year-round live training class series to train new volunteers & interns to join us. We have been serving the Orange County community continuously for the past 54 years.
