Organization Description

Fair Oaks Community Center (FOCC0 is a unit of the Redwood City Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department. FOCC's mission is to support and coordinate human services for populations within Redwood City and North Fair Oaks. FOCC provides vital safety net services to low, very low, and extremely low income households including food assistance, homeless assistance, homelessness prevention assistance, and other services

Health & Safety

Due to the nature of the safety net/emergency services provided at the Fair Oaks Community Center and services provided to individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness, there are times when students may interact with individuals experiencing challenges with mental health or substance use related behaviors at the time they are seeking emergency services. Students will always be working with other personnel or have other personnel readily available for support when doing field work.

  • Computer Literacy
  • Health Check/Screening (e.g. temperature screening, COVID-19 test)
  • Must be 18 or older
  • POPULATION SERVED: Students will be working with "behaviorally challenged" populations.
