Creating Practice Questions with OppiaAt — Oppia Foundation
If you’re interested in creating educational content and wish to help underserved children gain access to education, this is the volunteer role for you! Oppia is looking for passionate individuals to join our Practice Questions Team in implementing practice questions to help students develop their skills.
We are looking to build upon our basic mathematics curriculum and further engage learners by creating practice questions for them, since we've found that learners who struggle with mathematics can benefit from practicing with varied questions approaching the same concept from different viewpoints. We seek detail-oriented individuals who can help create and upload questions to the Oppia website. This process includes writing clear explanations, identifying common misconceptions, and making edits based on review feedback. We welcome individuals who are willing to learn and grow through this opportunity, though we do ask that you be fluent in English and able to write grammatically and clearly!
10 service learners
Students will be introduced to our Practice Questions leads and given an overview of the practice questions project, as well as comprehensive documentation explaining how to use the practice question functionality of the Oppia website.
All practice questions submitted by students will be reviewed by our practice questions review team, and reviewers will (where applicable) provide feedback to the student on their submissions. Additionally, practice question team leads will hold check-in meetings to help address any questions or concerns that students may have. Students who have a track record of strong question submissions may be invited to join the review team as well.
